Quick meeting notes
Bring Ronald McDonald quilts to the June meeting.
I showed the flannel that was bought for backing of Ronald McDonald quilts. This does shrink, so please pre wash. We have a bolt for boys & another for girls.
Should you want some of this or batting, please let me know the day prior to meeting so I can get it cut. Remember the batting is 90" wide.
June meeting program will be modifying the aprons for AQS Quiltweek. We need sewers, pinners, ironers, & trimmers.
GAMES:
We had a fun time with the Chinese Auction, - it is always fun to see which gifts turn out to be the most stolen.
There were lots of quilting related tools going around the group during the left right game.
SHOW & TELL was shorter than usual, to allow us plenty of time to socialize & get to know one another better.
When you see all the work in this quilt, you understand all the time that Rachel put into the making. And what a wonderful job Deb did of the quilting.
A closer look at Rachel's work.
Check out the great label! And a good look at Deb's quilting.
Judy's version of the same quilt that Rachel made.
Lauren's quilt for a QOV challenge. Each block represents a woman in history.
Fran made this to be given as a wedding gift.
Sharon's Betty Boop quilt was made during the murder mystery that was written by Lauren.
I have been making this for ages, - I call it the D... hundreds of 1 1/2" HST quilt. This is one row. Still more HSTs to be made for borders.
WOW, - what a feast all the attendees brought.
I am hoping that the descriptions of the quilts is all accurate, - unfortunately we are depending on my poor memory for this.
NEXT MEETING: June 10th.
