We welcomed Linda Smalley's daughter in law, Bianna, to our meeting.
Fees are due if you haven't already paid, $12.
Denise had a membership list for all to check their info & update. New members will not be put on the official email list til they have paid their dues.
Helen had collated the responses she had received regarding Quiltweek. Suggestions were: Name tags in plastic hanger, chairs for hostesses, & Guild business cards. Other suggestion were also given last month.
Remaining aprons from show given out.
Christmas meeting will be at Lauren's, Dec 10th, 10am onward. Address & food list will be emailed out.
Bring a wrapped gift to play Dirty Santa. Value about $15, no stipulation as to what it is. Your choice, - something you would like to receive would probably be a good guideline.
Bring unwrapped gift/s for ages birth to 14 yrs old. These will go to Lone Oak & be given out to the needy by the volunteer fire dept. Helen & Tommye will collect these. Last year we deposited them immediately into their car so as to not clutter up Lauren's home.
Hopefully, you have been keeping Gayle up to date with your finishes whilst she has been unable to attend meetings. I think I will receive the dunce for that one! Not much done on my list, - I just expanded on it for next year!
Confessions of fabricaholics, - Betty War... was the only one that remembered to bring in hers, & boy, did she get some fabric this past year!! Then others thought they should not have to count what they bought at the AQS show, - as we really did have to support the vendors.
So I have unilaterally decided that we are all winners, in that we now have even larger stashes, - but that we didn't get a winner of the confessions. So for those that signed in for this program, do NOT bring a yard of fabric to the Christmas meeting.
Charity quilts for Ronald McDonald House were given to Denise for delivery.
Thank you to all that provided food this meeting.
Program this meeting: Polygon Affair, with Lauren demonstrating how to make a polygon quilt without using Y seams. Good program Lauren, - I am looking forward to trying this method.
Show & Tell is always fun, as you will see from the following photos.
This is Helen hiding behind this one. If anyone remembers the program we ran years ago, you will now see that she finally finished it!
Well, there are a lot of hidden faces above this, & I cannot remember who made what!
This was Betty War.... Not a quilt, but wow!
From the Murder Mystery we ran last year. Great set up you did here Debbie.
The above 6 were made by Debbie. What a great job!
Rachel also showed her quilt that was from the Murder Mystery.
Here I am, demonstrating the beautiful Infinity scarf arm knit by Brianna.
Lauren doing the program.
This is the book that Lauren is working from, for those that would like to buy it.
That's it for now ladies, - see you at the Christmas meeting.
