Well, it's better late than never. Life always seems to be getting in the way lately, - but I am sure that I am not the only one.
Membership fee of $12 now due, - give to Beverly. If you give her cash, please pin your name on the money so she can keep track of things easier. Sometimes it is hard to stay on top when so much is going on.
We had a Thank You card from TriCity, expressing their appreciation for us & the work we have done to make the AQS show a success.
Cathleen McMullen took the appreciation aprons, - she will be visiting the guilds to give these to our helpers.
Denise & I made up charity quilt kits. We hit the great sale that Joann's had after Thanksgiving. Many of these kits were taken, & Denise will bring them to the January meeting for anyone that would like one. You do need to sign them out, & they are expected back within 3 months.
UFO has finished, & the grand prize went to me!! Most unexpected as I wasn't very good at getting through my list. If desired, this group can be restarted at any time the guild feels they would like it.
You need to be thinking about what kind of special project you would like to work on in 2016, & bring suggestions to the January meeting. Ideas, - ?a challenge, - special ongoing theme?
Denise will run the January meeting in my absence, & we will try to have a different member running the group each month. You need to understand, that running a meeting isn't really that hard. I will be away a lot during 2016. Think of me in January/February, as I enjoy summer in Australia!! ha ha, that really wasn't very nice of me.

After all the quilts we make for others, occasionally we need to keep one!
And then it was time to party! Behind the quilts in some of the photos you will see we have gifts. These were to play DIRTY SANTA, & you can be assured we got dirty! but it was a lot of fun.
What was not photographed, but should have been, was the wonderful feast we then had to celebrate Christmas. You ladies then outdid yourselves, - a culinary delight!
PROGRAM for January will be a game, - with fabric! To play, you need to bring (3) 10" squares of neutral cream to cocoa. Have fun!
NEXT MEETING: January 13th, 2016
HAPPY NEW YEAR! |
