MEETING OF OCTOBER 8th, 2014

Once again, a fun meeting.
We welcomed Beverley Billingsley to our meeting.

We did some post show discussion.
Reminding members that if you have a quilt for the show, your entry needs to be in by May 2015.
We were concerned that our Opportunity quilt was not real visible to attendees of the show, & discussed ways that we may be able to remedy this, within what is acceptable to AQS.  (They said no to my flashing light idea).  Maybe Ronald McD would come, or a replica of him?  Will check that one out.
We need a communication board in our volunteer area to ensure that info is easy available for all to see & be aware of any problems or changes.
A committee was formed by volunteers to work on next years Opportunity Quilt.  If I remember correctly, this is headed by Vicky, & also Judy?  Thank you all the ladies that are going to be part of this, & for barring me!  he he.

We gave out the lime green aprons to our best volunteers from the show, with the remainder to go out to the other best volunteers from other guilds.  I must say, that our guild did the most in the hours of volunteering provided.  Great job ladies!
Now the money also needs to be divided between the participating guilds.

Our program consisted of members showing & demonstrating what goodies they had bought at the show.
It was interesting to see what had been bought, - & I must say that Helen was our best buyer!  Way to go Helen!

And now we get to see what wonderful things were brought in for show & tell.
